  1. Clear your Cupboards/Fridge/Freezer of foods you know will cause you problems whatever eating plan you're embarking on. Refill them with exactly what you need to eat to succeed.

  2. Dispose of Food Positively. Rather than throw it out, give it to friends, family, neighbours or a shelter. Better still do some cooking and pass it on - good for the soul and a positive first step on your journey.

  3. Concession Cupboard. Ideally, It's best if everyone at home adopts the chosen meal plan. To make this bearable for others have a concession cupboard of items the rest of the house can't do without.

Helping You Succeed

Changing the way you eat is daunting and can be soul destroying without the right planning and support. From my experience with clients over the years, I have tried a number of techniques and below are the three most effective for success based on feedback from clients.
Good luck with your journey and it would be great to hear your success stories... Jayne Wilson

  1. Keep a Food Diary. This helps you track what you're really eating and when.

  2. Track Situations & Events that Trigger Failure. This is extremely powerful, helping you anticipate and manage those situations and learn from your mistakes.

  3. Monitor Your Symptoms in your diary. This helps you listen to your body and understand which foods work well for you and which don't. Note how the foods you eat make you feel (e.g. full, bloated, give you headcahes, make you thirsty etc.) and take control by positive change.

Keep a Food Diary
  1. Discuss Your Progress. When you're fed up with your new eating plan believe me there are others feeling exactly the same. They're facing the same challenges and disappointments as you.
It's highly likely that whatever or however you're feeling, someone else has beaten you to it!!

  2. Tap into Support Organisations that run blogs, share recipes, compare products, and review restaurants. These can be a tremendous suppport and won't leave you feeling isolated.
